A traditional South Tyrolean Marende – our local name for the typical wooden sharing board – consists primarily of seasoned sausage products such as speck, salamis, ham and smoked sausages. A high-quality mountain cheese and Schüttelbrot (crispy brittle flatbread) complement your meal. Once you’ve gathered the right company around the table, nothing can stand in the way of a perfect snack!

Of course, our South Tyrolean specialities are not only designed for your enjoyment. Whether as a rustic farmer‘s box or a heart-shaped cardboard box – give your loved ones a special treat from our delicatessen range and bring a piece of South Tyrol to their table!

All Mendelspeck gourmet products are manufactured and refined at our in-house production facilities. During meat processing, we follow strict hygiene regulations and increase efficiency with process optimisation. We carefully select our meat suppliers and make sure that their practices comply with the strictest farming criteria and that butchering is carried out according to legal requirements. This allows us to guarantee our customers the highest quality meat.

We also focus on environmental protection when it comes to packaging materials and we only use plastic where it is absolutely necessary for food preservation. In recent years, we have reduced the plastic packaging content by up to 40% as we try to use the thinnest possible vacuum packaging for our products. For most gift wrapping, we use wooden boxes instead of plastic wrap. We also use wood chips for stuffing boxes in order to reduce plastic use.
